Taupo, at the end

Taupo concludes the triathlon season with the 70.3 World Championship. Nature, sport and a unique location in New Zealand's North Island.
Our pledge to excellence is reflected by our commitment to consistency; our triathlon wetsuit range evolves alongside the best technologies.
Sport is evolution. It’s about surpassing limits, repeating, adjusting and perfecting. It’s not about reinventing each step, but refining what already works and finding that little bit of room for improvement that will, over time, make a difference.
A 1% improvement doesn’t seem like much of a change at first. You don’t notice it in a single training session and it doesn’t transform your performance from one day to the next. But in the water, as in life, it’s the gradual progress that determines the results, which could be a slightly more efficient stroke, a one-second faster transition, or physical and mental endurance that stretch a few metres further.
Improving isn’t a matter of sudden jumps, but of consistency; of striving for excellence in every detail, trusting in the process and understanding that real improvement doesn’t just come from revolutions, but from our own evolution.
Our commitment to improvement is inspired by this belief and comes to life in the launch of our new range of triathlon wetsuits. We’ve introduced two design improvements: a new patterning in the shoulders, reducing tension in this area and increasing freedom of movement, as the neutral position of the sleeves is now horizontal to the ground, and the second: at Orca Lab, the impact of panels with paint on the performance of the suit has been studied, leading us to change the location of the graphics to the arms. This has helped to achieve minor improvements in terms of elasticity compared to the previous version, which is particularly noticeable in long distance races.
Apex is our maximum performance wetsuit range, for all those who seek excellence in every detail. In this high performance series we have the Apex Float, for those who need greater support and stability; the Apex Flex, for more technical swimmers who prioritise flexibility; and the Apex Flow, offering the perfect balance between buoyancy and flexibility.
The Apex Float is the perfect ally for those swimmers who need extra buoyancy in order to feel more secure and efficient in the water. Designed to help you effortlessly maintain a hydrodynamic position in the water, this suit incorporates Exo-Lift technology in the legs, a multilayer structure with small, strategically positioned air bubbles providing 30% more buoyancy than the average wetsuit.
Buoyancy isn’t the only thing this model has to offer. The elasticity in the upper half of the suit, provided by Yamamoto 40 neoprene together with the innovative patterning in the shoulder area, allows you to paddle freely without restrictions. At the same time, the hydrophobic properties of the Hydrolite technology applied to the inside of the legs allows you to take your wetsuit off more easily, making your transitions even faster. With reinforcements on the sides thanks to Core Lateral Stabiliser, the swimmer also maintains perfect alignment in each movement, allowing a more efficient and powerful technique.
The Apex Flex is designed for swimmers with impeccable technique and a stable position in the water. This model focuses on flexibility, making it the ideal option for those who prioritise mobility above anything else. The key to its design lies in its use of Yamamoto 44, the most elastic neoprene on the market and exclusive to Orca, which is combined with the Infinity Skin 2 lining, made from bamboo fibres that boost elasticity and reduce bad odors. In addition, 0.88 Free technology is used, an ultrafine material that improves sensitivity in the water, improving your pull sensation in each stroke.
In order to enhance your experience of freedom, this model has a reduced length YKK R zipper that not only minimises the water resistance along your back, but provides even greater elasticity in this area. All this, combined with other technologies such as Ultimate Seal Collar and the Hydrolite system, means this suit will help you reach your full potential in the water.
On the other hand, for those of you who seek the best of both worlds, the Apex Flow is the answer. It combines technology from the Flex range, providing maximum freedom of movement in the upper body, with optimised buoyancy from the Float range in the lower half of the suit, helping the swimmer to achieve an optimal position in the water without any effect on the fluidity of their stroke.
The Exo-Lift panels help to keep your body in a more hydrodynamic position, allowing you to save energy for the rest of your race. This technology, combined with others such as Yamamoto 44+ in the shoulders and 0.88 Free in the arms, provides you with maximum elasticity and a sensation of freedom in every stroke. You won’t have experienced a swimming sensation like this before.
As if this weren’t enough, the Apex Flow also uses Core Lateral Stabiliser, helping you to maintain the perfect alignment in each swimming phase, ensuring higher performance during long distance events. In addition, the Ultimate Seal Collar and the Hydrolite system complete the experience, minimising water entry and making your transitions faster and effortless.
