TECHNOLOGY

YAMAMOTO 39

For increased flexibility in all phases of the swim stroke, this product features 1.5 mm Yamamoto 39 neoprene. This material has high elasticity that allows it to be used in different areas of mid-range wetsuits. For fast, short-distance movements, such as those in the arms and especially the elbow, this material requires 35% less force than conventional neoprene. For slow, long-distance movements, such as in the shoulders, it requires 45% less force than conventional neoprene.

Yamamoto 39 technology is also used in the torso to ensure sufficient thermal insulation for competitions. Its 3 mm thickness and Infinityskin lining provide 77% more protection than if you did not wear a wetsuit.

HIGH VISIBILITY

To keep you as safe as possible in the water, this wetsuit has been designed with a high-visibility orange that will make you visible to boats and other swimmers, so you can be located at any time.

RESTUBE READY

In addition to this system, the wetsuit features a Restube Ready hitch, for attaching the Restube buoy without needing a belt. This keeps the buoy more stable and prevents wear to the wetsuit from rubbing with the belt. Restube is a compact safety buoy that the swimmer can activate in case of emergency with a trigger.

NFC IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM

This wetsuit features Emerid, a universal identification system using NFC/Contactless technology that instantly provides the athlete's information in the event of an accident or emergency, without the need for batteries or a downloaded application.

By placing a mobile phone near the wetsuit's device, a page will be opened showing the vital data needed for fast medical assistance. It also includes the location and training times.

MADE TO LAST

This product's unique design is based on the best available materials in the market. Orca works closely with Yamamoto Corporation to develop new materials for their wetsuits, the exclusive Orca 0.88 Free and Yamamoto 44 materials are proof of this. Orca is also the only brand that is certified to make all its suits using exclusive Yamamoto material, ensuring the highest quality in all products.

Currently, the most sustainable raw material for obtaining neoprene is limestone, compared to other much more polluting processes in which lower quality neoprene is obtained from oil. The process of obtaining neoprene from limestone was developed in the 60s by the Yamamoto company and it has been been perfected over time to arrive at the current process, where the best quality neoprene is obtained. Not only do the common characteristics of this neoprene contribute to its better performance, but they also ensure its maximum durability.

Other very important materials in our products that may go unnoticed are the materials used for packaging. To minimize the impact of these, as of 2020, our entire range of wetsuits and accessories uses recycled cardboard packaging instead of single-use plastic.

How to measure yourself

For best results, take your measurements with no clothing on

Place the measuring tape over the widest part of your chest.

Hold one end of the measuring tape in place and circle your chest, keeping the tape straight, until the tape reaches your starting point.

Get a book, a hand mirror and a pencil.

Take off your shoes and anything you wear on your head.

Look for a level surface to stand on with a smooth wall behind you.

Stand in front of the wall with your feet together.

Balance the book on your head and press it against the wall. Use the mirror to check that it is in a horizontal position and well centered. Mark the position of the top of your head on the wall with pencil.

Once the mark is made, step away and use a measuring tape to measure the distance from the ground to the mark you just made with pencil.

Step on the scale, without clothes or accessories, and write down your weight.
