How to find your wetsuit size

How to measure yourself and use the web tool to find the wetsuit size that fits you best

Choosing the right size wetsuit is fundamental - that much we already know. But how do we know what size we need without trying it on?

Using a combination of three of our measurements and the web tool, we will be able to select our wetsuit size so that when we receive it at home, it fits us exactly as we expect it to.

The three measurements we need to take are:

  • chest
  • height
  • weight

Chest:

It’s advisable to take measurements with no clothes on.

Place the tape measure around the highest part of your chest.

Start with one end of the tape and wrap it around your chest, holding it straight until it reaches behind and around your chest.

Height:

If you don’t know how tall you are, you can stand against a wall and use a pencil to make a mark on the wall just above your head. Then you measure the distance from the mark to the floor using a tape measure.

Weight:

Stand on the scales wearing neither clothes nor accessories and take note of the information.

The web tool

On our website you can find the tool “Find your size” which will recommend you a range of sizes that have a degree of compatibility with your three measurements and will detail what kind of fit you can expect from each one.

You can also use the table “Wetsuit Sizes” where you will be able to see which wetsuit size will fit you best depending on your measurements.

How to measure yourself

For best results, take your measurements with no clothing on

Place the measuring tape over the widest part of your chest.

Hold one end of the measuring tape in place and circle your chest, keeping the tape straight, until the tape reaches your starting point.

Get a book, a hand mirror and a pencil.

Take off your shoes and anything you wear on your head.

Look for a level surface to stand on with a smooth wall behind you.

Stand in front of the wall with your feet together.

Balance the book on your head and press it against the wall. Use the mirror to check that it is in a horizontal position and well centered. Mark the position of the top of your head on the wall with pencil.

Once the mark is made, step away and use a measuring tape to measure the distance from the ground to the mark you just made with pencil.

Step on the scale, without clothes or accessories, and write down your weight.
