The Bossa UltraFlex combines maximum elasticity, comfort and thermal protection so that you enjoy every wave in total freedom.
The new Bossa UltraFlex is designed for those who understand surfing as movement: from paddling out and finding the correct position to facing a set and paddling out again. In other words, this suit is for surfers who want to spend hours in the water without feeling restricted by their wetsuit.
The secret? A combination of elasticity, comfort and freedom, allowing the suit to hug your body like a second skin, making it feel like you’re “wearing pyjamas”, as described by surfers who’ve tried the suit out.
Made with Yamamoto neoprene and highly elastic fabrics, the Bossa UltraFlex offers a natural fit, which complements your every motion and eliminates the feeling of resistance in your wetsuit. From the very first wear, its elasticity is tangible, but it’s in the water where the real difference lies.
Iker Amatriain highlights how it feels like you’re wearing nothing at all when paddling the first few times, and after longer sessions in the water, you feel less tension in the shoulders. Klaus Velarde describes the suit as a “second skin” and tells us it’s so naturally comfortable that you forget you’re even wearing a wetsuit.
And, unsurprisingly, it’s while paddling that the Bossa UltraFlex unleashes its full potential.

Surfing a wave begins way before takeoff. You need to paddle out to get into a good position, paddle to the peak after each set, and start over. During longer sessions and tough conditions, your shoulders perform thousands of movements and any additional resistance in the mix could end up causing more harm than good.
This is why the Bossa UltraFlex incorporates 2mm thick neoprene in the shoulders, arms and underarms, as well as Yamamoto 40 neoprene, which increases mobility in the areas that work the most while you paddle.
Klaus managed to test this theory out during a challenging session in Mundaka with strong currents, pointing out that the main difference he experienced compared to other suits was comfort while paddling: by the end of the session, he left the water without feeling tightness in the shoulders.
Eneko Merino also describes this aspect as one of the Bossa’s big game changers. Especially when paddling out and the waves don’t stop coming - being able to move your arms freely allows you to continue paddling without feeling restricted by your wetsuit.

Thankfully, being able to move freely doesn’t mean body heat is sacrificed. The Bossa UltraFlex uses a 3:2 construction, with 3mm neoprene in the chest, back and legs and Yamamoto 39 neoprene, while the areas you need most freedom incorporate 2mm, more flexible neoprene.
This distribution seeks to strike a balance between two fundamental needs during any surf session: heat retention in the torso and maximum freedom of movement where you need it most.
On top of this, the advanced seal system and front zip construction help you stay warm for your entire surf session - from your first wave to your very last.
Your wetsuit is on, doing what it does best, but you hardly notice it’s even there.
