Maximum buoyancy

Whether you want to save energy during long distance triathlons or you’re looking for extra support to help you maintain your position in the water, the Apex Float V2 is for you. Specific technologies have been incorporated into the wetsuit to help you achieve maximum buoyancy and a consistent swimming technique, correcting your posture so you can perform at your best.

Maximum elasticity

The Apex Float V2 wetsuit incorporates materials like Yamamoto 40 in the shoulders or High Elbow Panel technology in the arms, allowing you to enjoy a greater sensation of freedom. It also includes a new innovative patterning in the shoulders, helping your stroke feel natural and without restrictions. Finding new improvements with this product isn’t easy, but at Orca, we’ve strived to improve even the smallest details, for example, the graphics in the shoulders have been removed for greater elasticity

Thermal comfort

Thanks to its 3mm thickness in the chest and back and 5mm in the legs, this wetsuit will protect you against cold sea temperatures during the swim stage of your triathlons.

Neutral buoyancy

This wetsuit’s distribution of thicknesses and patterning provides it with neutral buoyancy, which naturally helps to maintain your body in a horizontal position. This enables you to swim with total freedom and maintain a consistent technique at all times.

Quick transition

The use of highly hydrophobic materials allows you to take your suit off quickly, saving you seconds during the transition of your next triathlon competition.

Composition:

Neoprene : 95 %, Polyamide (Nylon) : 5 %

Cleaning

Neoprene can be damaged by excess salt or other chemicals such as chlorine if used in swimming pools. We recommend washing your wetsuit with plenty of water after each use. A small amount of neutral pH soap can be used and then rinsed out afterwards.

Once clean, make sure prevent it from holding onto too much moisture. Air dry it outside or in a ventilated indoor space, somewhere without direct exposure to sunlight as this can damage the materials.

Storage

Storing your wetsuit properly keeps the materials and seams from creasing and being stretched for long periods of time. It also prevents the material from wrinkling, which can affect both the wetsuit's durability and appearance.

The best way to store a wetsuit is to hang it draped over a hanger from its waist, so that the most delicate areas such as the shoulders and arms do not have any kind of tension on them.

For wetsuits with very flexible shoulders (Apex Flex or Apex Flow), it is important not to place them on a hanger from the shoulder area, as this will degrade the elasticity over time. For the rest of the models, a wide hanger can be used, as long as the wetsuit is not strained in the shoulder or neck area.

Recommendations for use

1) If your suit has Velcro, avoid contact between the Velcro and the inner lining of the wetsuit, as it will damage the fibers in the material. Keep the Velcro covered with the provided fabric patch or make sure that the Velcro is closed, so that the rough part of the Velcro does not damage the inside of your suit.

2) For all suits, especially those made with neoprene, be careful not to damage the neoprene material with your nails when putting on or taking off the suit, as this type of damage is not covered by our warranty policy.

3) Triathlon and open water suits have been designed specifically for swimming. We cannot guarantee correct functioning of the wetsuits for other activities. Any damage to the wetsuit resulting from use in activities other than swimming is not covered by our warranty policy.

4) Avoid leaning on or coming into contact with any surfaces (especially rough ones) while wearing your wetsuit.

39FS

39FS

Elasticity, maximum flexibility and total freedom of movement are brought together thanks to the combination of Yamamoto 39 neoprene, Infinity Skin 2 lining and Smoothskin surface finish. With this combination, the open water swimmer will use 35% less force in fast movements and short strokes, while slower, wider movements will require 45% less force than with any other conventional wetsuit.

V FIT

V FIT

Orca women's wetsuits have patterns specifically designed for the female body, which improve both their performance and comfort. A better fit allows the materials to work within their optimal elasticity ranges

YKK8

YKK8

8mm YKK zippers are high-performance and high-durability components. The durability of the zipper will help your suit last for a long service life, as well as prevent water from getting into the wetsuit during your surfing sessions.

DSF

Thanks to the development of our new Dynamic Shoulder Fit technology, the tension applied to the shoulder and underarm panels is reduced. By slightly increasing the interior volume, the tension on these panels is also reduced. The combination of these two changes results in greater elasticity and superior range of motion.

40+

40+

Yamamoto 40 neoprene is combined with the high-elasticity Infinity Skin 2 lining and SCS surface coating. The smooth finish acheived with the SCS coating reduces resistance and friction in the water, improving hydrodynamics and increasing speed.

Specific technologies have been applied to this wetsuit to provide maximum buoyancy

Exolift

Exolift

Exo-lift is a sandwich-like construction, which combines an exterior neoprene layer treated with a hydrodynamic Nano Ice SCS coating, Aerodome technology, and a third specially treated interior neoprene layer. This combination achieves maximum buoyancy and 0% water absorption. A little boost to help you maintain a hydrodynamic position at all times, even when you're tired.

Aerodome

Aerodome

This new technology, applied to the lower body, gives the swimmer 30% more buoyancy than a conventional wetsuit. The secret is in its construction: hundreds of air pockets located between two layers of pre-treated neoprene. The inner layer of this material is composed of a high-quality lining with low water absorption that increases elasticity. The outer layer is treated with an SCS coating which improves hydrodynamics.

Its surface treatments and perfect fit, thanks to the suit's pattern and materials, enhance the hydrodynamic properties of the Apex Float wetsuit

40 PF+

40 PF+

The Power-fit compressive lining is combined with Orca's high-end Yamamoto 40 technology and the Nano Ice SCS surface treatment. The result is a perfect fit in the torso and back area, preventing the flow of water through the wetsuit and improving hydrodynamics. Nano Ice SCS treatment reduces friction in the water by 68% compared to a conventional wetsuit.

USC

USC

Laser cutting in the neck area combined with the Hydrolite inner lining allows the wetsuit to seal to the body and prevents chafing. This combination and seal prevent water from flowing into the suit, providing more thermal confort to the swimmer.

HEP

HEP

High Elbow Panel technology, a panel of high-buoyancy material, helps to keep the elbow elevated during the stroke, improving body positioning in the water. After numerous biomechanical studies aimed at improving stability, this panel has been strategically placed to provide support without limiting flexibility.

FTW

The Feel The Water (FTW) panel uses 0.88 Free technology to increase tactile sensitivity in the forearm. This helps the swimmer execute a more effective swim stroke and maintain proper form.

Hydrolite

Hydrolite

Hydrolite technology makes the wetsuit easier to remove during transitions. Its compressive properties improve the wetsuits's seal in areas where water may be able to enter, such as in the arms, legs and neck, improving the wetsuit's overall thermal confort.

How to measure yourself

For best results, take your measurements with no clothing on

Place the measuring tape over the widest part of your chest.

Hold one end of the measuring tape in place and circle your chest, keeping the tape straight, until the tape reaches your starting point.

Get a book, a hand mirror and a pencil.

Take off your shoes and anything you wear on your head.

Look for a level surface to stand on with a smooth wall behind you.

Stand in front of the wall with your feet together.

Balance the book on your head and press it against the wall. Use the mirror to check that it is in a horizontal position and well centered. Mark the position of the top of your head on the wall with pencil.

Once the mark is made, step away and use a measuring tape to measure the distance from the ground to the mark you just made with pencil.

Step on the scale, without clothes or accessories, and write down your weight.
