Apex 30 Women Triathlon Wetsuit

£ 999.00

Orca’s evolution and technical advancements are embodied in the Apex 30, which has resulted in the most elastic, best fitting and fastest wetsuit on the market.

The brand has opted for new technologies such as the Dynamic Shoulder Fit (DSF), an innovative patterning in the shoulder area, which guarantees an incomparable freedom of movement, helping each stroke to feel natural and without restrictions. What also stands out is the suit’s buoyancy profile which has been carefully altered to improve your position in the water, helping you to achieve a more hydrodynamic position without affecting your kick technique.

Each Apex 30 is an exclusive piece of history. As it's the occasion of our anniversary, we're offering you a free gift that includes a special Apex 30 silicone hat and a pair of goggles.

Optimised buoyancy

A good position in the water improves your hydrodynamics, helping you to save seconds in the swim stage. Since 2012, when Orca revolutionised the market with the first Aerodrome panels in our 3.8 model, we’ve managed to perfect our buoyancy technology. Today, all this knowledge and innovation is embodied in the Apex 30, which offers an optimised buoyancy profile thanks to its carefully designed panels with Exo-Lift technology. These strategically placed panels in the legs, core area and chest are designed to take your performance to the next level, giving you the confidence and speed you need to stand out in the water.

Strokes without restriction

Orca suits have always stood out thanks to their exceptional elasticity, providing you with freedom of movement in every stroke. With the new Apex 30, we’re taking this freedom to the next level. Iconic Orca models such as the Alpha, the Apex Flex and the Apex Flow already include 0.88 Free technology in the arms, yet the new Apex 30 takes this innovation even further. This suit also uses 0.88 Free in the shoulders and sides of the upper torso, which provides an unprecedented level of freedom in every stroke. On top of this, the advanced Dynamic Shoulder Fit patterning maintains the sleeves in a neutral position parallel to the ground, offering a more natural and fluid swimming experience like never before.

Posture correction

An optimal position is key to maximising your performance with every stroke. Since 2012, Orca has been the leader of the progress in posture correction using CLS technology (Core Lateral Stabilizer), specifically developed for triathlon. Today, the Apex 30 raises the bar with innovative CLS+ technology, offering an even more advanced core stability than our previous range of top quality styles. Thanks to the strategically placed Exo-Lift panels in the lower back area, the Apex 30 improves not only buoyancy, but also provides extra stability that perfects posture and optimises every second in the water.

Maximum speed

With the Apex 30 you won’t just gain speed thanks to the freedom in your stroke and an improved position in the water. This suit is designed to be the fastest: it incorporates Nano Ice SCS surface treatment that reduces the friction coefficient with the water, which is characteristic of Orca’s top of the range wetsuits. Each detail of the Apex 30 is designed to offer you unparalleled performance, taking your swimming to a new level of efficiency and speed.

Composition:

Neoprene : 95 %, Polyamide (Nylon) : 5 %

Cleaning

Neoprene can be damaged by excess salt or other chemicals such as chlorine if used in swimming pools. We recommend washing your wetsuit with plenty of water after each use. A small amount of neutral pH soap can be used and then rinsed out afterwards.

Once clean, make sure prevent it from holding onto too much moisture. Air dry it outside or in a ventilated indoor space, somewhere without direct exposure to sunlight as this can damage the materials.

Storage

Storing your wetsuit properly keeps the materials and seams from creasing and being stretched for long periods of time. It also prevents the material from wrinkling, which can affect both the wetsuit's durability and appearance.

The best way to store a wetsuit is to hang it draped over a hanger from its waist, so that the most delicate areas such as the shoulders and arms do not have any kind of tension on them.

For wetsuits with very flexible shoulders (Apex Flex or Apex Flow), it is important not to place them on a hanger from the shoulder area, as this will degrade the elasticity over time. For the rest of the models, a wide hanger can be used, as long as the wetsuit is not strained in the shoulder or neck area.

Recommendations for use

1) If your suit has Velcro, avoid contact between the Velcro and the inner lining of the wetsuit, as it will damage the fibers in the material. Keep the Velcro covered with the provided fabric patch or make sure that the Velcro is closed, so that the rough part of the Velcro does not damage the inside of your suit.

2) For all suits, especially those made with neoprene, be careful not to damage the neoprene material with your nails when putting on or taking off the suit, as this type of damage is not covered by our warranty policy.

3) Triathlon and open water suits have been designed specifically for swimming. We cannot guarantee correct functioning of the wetsuits for other activities. Any damage to the wetsuit resulting from use in activities other than swimming is not covered by our warranty policy.

4) Avoid leaning on or coming into contact with any surfaces (especially rough ones) while wearing your wetsuit.

The Apex 30 uses the most advanced Orca technologies to achieve maximum elasticity in the shoulders, arms and back.

44+

44+

Orca's high-end range combines exclusive Yamamoto 44 technology with high-elasticity Infinity Skin 2 lining to provide maximum freedom of movement to the shoulders. The inner lining contains bamboo fibers for more flexibility with each stroke. It also reduces odor and prevents the growth of bacteria. This combination provides total flexibility in the shoulders of high-end Orca wetsuits. The material requires 90% less force to stretch than conventional neoprene.

Advanced 0.88 Free

Advanced 0.88 Free

0.88 Free technology was incorporated into the sleeves of the Alpha triathlon suits in 2015. It has progressively improved and was recently integrated into the Apex Flex and Apex Flow suits with the aim of providing the sensation of a better pull and a greater sensation of freedom when swimming. In the new Apex 30 we’ve gone a step further and we’ve also incorporated this material into the shoulders and side panels of the upper torso. This gives you a swim and pull sensation like no other - your stroke won’t be restricted by anything.

YKK8 Reduced

YKK8 Reduced

The YKK 8 zip is narrower than most zips. Its reduced width increases the flexibility of the back panel, meaning it’s more effective at preventing water entry. In the case of the Apex 30, we’ve tried to improve on even the smallest of details. As well as reducing the width of the zip, the length of the zip has also been reduced, and as a result the back panel is even more elastic, adapts better to the swimmer’s body and improves hydrodynamics.

Dynamic Shoulder Fit

Dynamic Shoulder Fit

The Apex 30 embodies all the knowledge and experience Orca has acquired over the last 30 years of its triathlon history in order to achieve an exclusive patterning for triathletes. The suit has been designed and created taking into account the neutral position of the suit with its sleeves in a horizontal position. This patterning reduces the restrictions in the shoulders and in your stroke offered by the average wetsuit.

High buoyancy panels are included in the legs to help the swimmer maintain perfect form

Exo Lift

Exo Lift

Exo-lift is a sandwich-like construction, which combines an exterior neoprene layer treated with a hydrodynamic Nano Ice SCS coating, Aerodome technology, and a third specially treated interior neoprene layer. This combination achieves maximum buoyancy and 0% water absorption. A little boost to help you maintain a hydrodynamic position at all times, even when you're tired.

Its surface treatments and perfect fit, thanks to the suit's pattern and materials, make the Apex 30 the fastest wetsuit in the Orca triathlon range

40PF+

40PF+

One of the historical features of Orca’s suits, besides elasticity, is the fit and comfort provided. This is why we’ve decided to maintain one of the technologies in the Apex 30 model that has given us the best results in recent years - 40 PF+. This technology is used in combination with the compressive Power-Fit lining, Orca’s top of the range Yamamoto 40 technology and Nano Ice SCS surface treatment. The result is a perfect fit in the torso and back, which ensures no water flows into the wetsuit, improving hydrodynamics. The Nano Ice SCS treatment reduces friction with water by 69% compared to the average wetsuit.

40+

40+

At Orca we’ve always worked with the best materials and the best designs in order to achieve the best possible performance. Yamamoto 40 technology used in Orca’s top of the range wetsuits combined with the Infinity Skin 2 lining results in a material with excellent elasticity that is traditionally used in the shoulders of wetsuits, offering a greater sensation of freedom. In the Apex 30 however, we’ve decided to incorporate this technology into the back of the legs. This allows the athlete to kick with greater freedom during the swim and to run without restrictions towards the first transition of the triathlon.

USC

USC

Just like Hydrolite technology, USC technology was incorporated into Orca’s triathlon wetsuits in 2015. The laser cutting in the neck combined with Hydrolite inner lining seals the wetsuit and helps to prevent tearing. This combination and seal prevent water from entering the suit, increasing the swimmer’s thermal insulation and hydrodynamics.

Hydrolite

Hydrolite

In our triathlon wetsuit range launched in 2015, a technology was used that marked a turning point in the making of triathlon wetsuits. Hydrolite technology has two main advantages. On the one hand, its compressive properties help seal the wetsuit in areas where water entry is possible. On the other hand, despite its compressive fabric, its structure means it slides easily off the triathlete’s skin. Hence why this technology is incorporated into the neck and the lower part of the legs of the Apex 30; to prevent water entry and to help the triathlete take the wetsuit off as fast as possible during the transition.

CLS+

CLS+

CLS technology is used in all of Orca’s triathlon wetsuits. The Apex 30 offers greater core stability owing to the Exo-Lift panels located in the lower back and abdomen. This allows you to maintain a good horizontal position in the torso for longer, enabling you to kick more efficiently and without restrictions. As well as improving the swimmer’s horizontal position, the combination of CLS+ technology with 0.88 Free Advanced technology improves the swimmer’s shoulder roll, as it helps to keep the lower torso in a stable position while allowing total freedom of movement in the shoulders.

How to measure yourself

For best results, take your measurements with no clothing on

Place the measuring tape over the widest part of your chest.

Hold one end of the measuring tape in place and circle your chest, keeping the tape straight, until the tape reaches your starting point.

Get a book, a hand mirror and a pencil.

Take off your shoes and anything you wear on your head.

Look for a level surface to stand on with a smooth wall behind you.

Stand in front of the wall with your feet together.

Balance the book on your head and press it against the wall. Use the mirror to check that it is in a horizontal position and well centered. Mark the position of the top of your head on the wall with pencil.

Once the mark is made, step away and use a measuring tape to measure the distance from the ground to the mark you just made with pencil.

Step on the scale, without clothes or accessories, and write down your weight.
