Zeal Thermal Men Openwater Wetsuit

499,00 €

During the month of November, we will plant one coral for every order over €/$/£75.

The Zeal Thermal Wetsuit is the evolution of Openwater RS1 Thermal.

The Zeal Thermal is the most thermally comforted wetsuit in Orca’s range. It features technology for maximum heat retention, such as its Thermal X2 inner lining and its second “batwing” layer of neoprene, which prevents water from entering the zipper and neck area. The high-thickness panels provide high buoyancy without affecting flexibility, thanks to the use of Yamamoto 40+ technology that provides maximum elasticity, for total freedom of movement in cold water.

Enjoy the conveniences of the Mesh Backpack and Knit Gloves, included with the purchase of the Zeal Thermal. These accessories allow you to store, transport and put on your neoprene without damaging the material.

Superior Thermal Comfort

This is the most thermally insulated wetsuit in the Orca range featuring panels that are up to 5 mm thick, as well as its Thermal X2 inner lining and “Batwing"" hood. The closely fitted neck and limb areas and the suit's zipper seal (Batwing) prevent the ingress of cold water, further improving the thermal comfort

Maximum Elasticity

The combination of technologies aimed at maximum elasticity, such as Yamamoto 40X+, allows for excellent freedom of movement in cold water despite the thickness of this wetsuit. The elasticity of the Thermal X thermal lining gives the 5 mm panels the same elastic properties as thinner conventional panels.

High and Neutral Buoyanc

The very thick panels located in the torso provide a high level of buoyancy, for safety in open water. In addition, its combination gives it a neutral buoyancy.

Comfort

The close fit in the extremities and the comfortable Thermal X and Thermal X2 inner lining fabrics make this one of the most comfortable wetsuits in the Orca range.

Composition:

Neoprene : 95 %, Polyamide (Nylon) : 5 %

Cleaning

Neoprene can be damaged by excess salt or other chemicals such as chlorine if used in swimming pools. We recommend washing your wetsuit with plenty of water after each use. A small amount of neutral pH soap can be used and then rinsed out afterwards.

Once clean, make sure prevent it from holding onto too much moisture. Air dry it outside or in a ventilated indoor space, somewhere without direct exposure to sunlight as this can damage the materials.

Storage

Storing your wetsuit properly keeps the materials and seams from creasing and being stretched for long periods of time. It also prevents the material from wrinkling, which can affect both the wetsuit's durability and appearance.

The best way to store a wetsuit is to hang it draped over a hanger from its waist, so that the most delicate areas such as the shoulders and arms do not have any kind of tension on them.

For wetsuits with very flexible shoulders (Apex Flex or Apex Flow), it is important not to place them on a hanger from the shoulder area, as this will degrade the elasticity over time. For the rest of the models, a wide hanger can be used, as long as the wetsuit is not strained in the shoulder or neck area.

Recommendations for use

1) If your suit has Velcro, avoid contact between the Velcro and the inner lining of the wetsuit, as it will damage the fibers in the material. Keep the Velcro covered with the provided fabric patch or make sure that the Velcro is closed, so that the rough part of the Velcro does not damage the inside of your suit.

2) For all suits, especially those made with neoprene, be careful not to damage the neoprene material with your nails when putting on or taking off the suit, as this type of damage is not covered by our warranty policy.

3) Triathlon and open water suits have been designed specifically for swimming. We cannot guarantee correct functioning of the wetsuits for other activities. Any damage to the wetsuit resulting from use in activities other than swimming is not covered by our warranty policy.

4) Avoid leaning on or coming into contact with any surfaces (especially rough ones) while wearing your wetsuit.

39X2

39X2

In the torso, Yamamoto 39 technology, which is up to 5 mm thick, provides maximum thermal confort where it is needed most, without affecting the positioning of the swimmer or restricting movement. This material provides 95% more confort compared to not wearing a wetsuit. This high-performance Thermal X inner lining retains heat more efficiently than other conventional inner fabrics. It is also soft and pleasant to the touch which is very comfortable when swimming in open water.

YKK10

YKK10

YKK-10 zippers are high-performance and durable features. The sturdiness of these zippers gives them a long service life and they are of such high quality that they prevent water from flowing through the wetsuit while swimming.

Batwing

Batwing

To avoid heat loss in the back through the zipper, this model has a "Batwing" construction consisting of a second layer of neoprene. This layer prevents water from seeping through the zipper and coming into direct contact with the body, keeping a layer of warm water inside. It also guarantees a very snug fit in the neck, reducing friction and water entry from the neck area into the suit.

Laser cutting in the neck area combined with the Hydrolite inner lining allows the wetsuit to seal to the body and prevents chafing. This combination and seal prevent water from flowing inside the suit, improving both thermal confort and hydrodynamics for the swimmer.

How to measure yourself

For best results, take your measurements with no clothing on

Place the measuring tape over the widest part of your chest.

Hold one end of the measuring tape in place and circle your chest, keeping the tape straight, until the tape reaches your starting point.

Get a book, a hand mirror and a pencil.

Take off your shoes and anything you wear on your head.

Look for a level surface to stand on with a smooth wall behind you.

Stand in front of the wall with your feet together.

Balance the book on your head and press it against the wall. Use the mirror to check that it is in a horizontal position and well centered. Mark the position of the top of your head on the wall with pencil.

Once the mark is made, step away and use a measuring tape to measure the distance from the ground to the mark you just made with pencil.

Step on the scale, without clothes or accessories, and write down your weight.
