Apex Flex V2 Women Triathlon Wetsuit

669,00 €

The Apex Flex V2 wetsuit, made with Yamamoto neoprene, is the most flexible suit in Orca’s entire range. It’s aimed at more technical swimmers who benefit from greater flexibility but who don’t need extra buoyancy. Its short, inverted zip construction allows for a more elastic design. The new Apex Flex V2 is even more flexible than the previous version thanks to its new patterning, which reduces tension in the shoulders and increases your freedom of movement, and a change in the arm graphics, which frees your shoulders and provides greater elasticity. This, combined with the most flexible materials on the market with the best hydrodynamic properties, makes this the fastest wetsuit for open water swimmers.

Enjoy the comfort provided by the Mesh Backpack and Fabric Gloves, both included when you buy an Apex Flex V2. These accessories allow you to store and transport your wetsuit in the backpack and to put it on without damaging the material.

Maximum freedom

Having total freedom of movement when swimming can help you maximize your potential and perform at your best at your triathlon competitions. For this reason, the Apex Flex V2 offers maximum elasticity, owing to the combination of Yamamoto 44+ and 0.88 Free technologies. Plus, thanks to its new innovative patterning in the shoulders, you’ll feel you have a more natural stroke at your next competition.

Low and neutral buoyancy

The Apex Flex V2’s low buoyancy allows you to maintain a natural position in the water, especially if you’re an experienced swimmer with refined technique.

Zero interference

With the Apex Flex V2, you’ll feel as if you were moving through the water without a wetsuit on, which helps you maximise your potential during the swim stage. Improving this product isn’t easy, but at Orca, we’ve strived to improve even the tiniest of details. For example, the graphics in the shoulders have been removed for greater elasticity.

Quick transition

The combination of highly hydrophobic materials and a shorter zip allows you to take the suit off quickly, saving you seconds during the transition at your next triathlon competition.

Composition:

Neoprene : 95 %, Polyamide (Nylon) : 5 %

Cleaning

Neoprene can be damaged by excess salt or other chemicals such as chlorine if used in swimming pools. We recommend washing your wetsuit with plenty of water after each use. A small amount of neutral pH soap can be used and then rinsed out afterwards.

Once clean, make sure prevent it from holding onto too much moisture. Air dry it outside or in a ventilated indoor space, somewhere without direct exposure to sunlight as this can damage the materials.

Storage

Storing your wetsuit properly keeps the materials and seams from creasing and being stretched for long periods of time. It also prevents the material from wrinkling, which can affect both the wetsuit's durability and appearance.

The best way to store a wetsuit is to hang it draped over a hanger from its waist, so that the most delicate areas such as the shoulders and arms do not have any kind of tension on them.

For wetsuits with very flexible shoulders (Apex Flex or Apex Flow), it is important not to place them on a hanger from the shoulder area, as this will degrade the elasticity over time. For the rest of the models, a wide hanger can be used, as long as the wetsuit is not strained in the shoulder or neck area.

Recommendations for use

1) If your suit has Velcro, avoid contact between the Velcro and the inner lining of the wetsuit, as it will damage the fibers in the material. Keep the Velcro covered with the provided fabric patch or make sure that the Velcro is closed, so that the rough part of the Velcro does not damage the inside of your suit.

2) For all suits, especially those made with neoprene, be careful not to damage the neoprene material with your nails when putting on or taking off the suit, as this type of damage is not covered by our warranty policy.

3) Triathlon and open water suits have been designed specifically for swimming. We cannot guarantee correct functioning of the wetsuits for other activities. Any damage to the wetsuit resulting from use in activities other than swimming is not covered by our warranty policy.

4) Avoid leaning on or coming into contact with any surfaces (especially rough ones) while wearing your wetsuit.

44+

44+

Orca's high-end range combines exclusive Yamamoto 44 technology with high-elasticity Infinity Skin 2 lining to provide maximum freedom of movement to the shoulders. The inner lining contains bamboo fibers for more flexibility with each stroke. It also reduces odor and prevents the growth of bacteria. This combination provides total flexibility in the shoulders of high-end Orca wetsuits. The material requires 90% less force to stretch than conventional neoprene.

40FS

40FS

For maximum freedom of movement, elasticity and flexibility, Orca's high-end range combines Yamamoto 40 technology with Infinity Skin 2 lining and Smoothskin surface coating. Its composition provides the triathlete with complete range of motion in the shoulder joint area, as the material can be stretched with 72% less force than any other conventional neoprene. Bamboo fibers in the inner lining provide flexibility with each stroke, in addition to reducing odor and preventing the growth of bacteria.

0.88 Free

0.88 Free

0.88 Free technology has been developed with Yamamoto exclusively for Orca. This material can be stretched with 75% less force than conventional neoprene, with immediate recovery. An inner lining with a Titanium coating is also used to maintain its thermal properties.

YKK R

YKK R

The YKK R zipper is a reverse coil zipper with a narrow width. The seams at the bottom of the zipper have a simpler finish in order to give more freedom of movement to the lower back area, so that swimmers with a more powerful kick can realize their full potential.

V FIT

V FIT

Orca women's wetsuits have patterns specifically designed for the female body, which improve both their performance and comfort. A better fit allows the materials to work within their optimal elasticity ranges

DSF

Thanks to the development of our new Dynamic Shoulder Fit technology, the tension applied to the shoulder and underarm panels is reduced. By slightly increasing the interior volume, the tension on these panels is also reduced. The combination of these two changes results in greater elasticity and superior range of motion.

Its surface treatments and perfect fit, thanks to the suit's pattern and materials, enhance the hydrodynamic properties of the Apex Flex wetsuit

40 PF+

40 PF+

The Power-fit compressive lining is combined with Orca's high-end Yamamoto 40 technology and the Nano Ice SCS surface treatment. The result is a perfect fit in the torso and back area, preventing the flow of water through the wetsuit and improving hydrodynamics. Nano Ice SCS treatment reduces friction in the water by 68% compared to a conventional wetsuit.

39+

39+

Yamamoto 39 neoprene is combined with the high-elasticity Infinity Skin 2 lining and SCS surface coating. The smooth finish acheived with the SCS coating reduces resistance and friction in the water, improving hydrodynamics and increasing speed.

USC

USC

Laser cutting in the neck area combined with the Hydrolite inner lining allows the wetsuit to seal to the body and prevents chafing. This combination and seal prevent water from flowing into the suit, providing more thermal confort to the swimmer.

Hydrolite

Hydrolite

Hydrolite technology makes the wetsuit easier to remove during transitions, thanks to its hydrophobic properties. Its compressive properties improve the wetsuits's seal in areas where water may be able to enter, such as in the arms, legs and neck, improving the wetsuit's overall thermal confort.

How to measure yourself

For best results, take your measurements with no clothing on

Place the measuring tape over the widest part of your chest.

Hold one end of the measuring tape in place and circle your chest, keeping the tape straight, until the tape reaches your starting point.

Get a book, a hand mirror and a pencil.

Take off your shoes and anything you wear on your head.

Look for a level surface to stand on with a smooth wall behind you.

Stand in front of the wall with your feet together.

Balance the book on your head and press it against the wall. Use the mirror to check that it is in a horizontal position and well centered. Mark the position of the top of your head on the wall with pencil.

Once the mark is made, step away and use a measuring tape to measure the distance from the ground to the mark you just made with pencil.

Step on the scale, without clothes or accessories, and write down your weight.
