Orca hires new US Brand Manager

Orca appoints Ty Stevens as new USA Brand Manager. Ty comes with broad experience in the sports industry and will be responsible for increasing local brand awareness within the triathlon community as well as improving dealer relations and sales.

We are pleased to announce today that we have hired Ty Stevens as the new Brand Manager for the US market. Ty is a passionate athlete who brings with him 15 years of experience within the outdoor and sport industry with broad experience in brand awareness and sales activation. Ty will be responsible for increasing local brand awareness within the triathlon community as well as improving dealer relations and sales.

Ty’s previous work experience includes Regional Key Account Manager for Orbea, Event Promotions Director for Adventure World Magazine and an Area Brand Manager for Aquasphere. With this change, Orca completes a reorganization of the structure in North America under the direction of their US General Manager Gonzalo García de Salazar. These changes include a new after sales service and inside sales team, a change in the warehouse to improve logistics and a more focused approach to local needs of individual territories in the US.

Ty Stevens New Orca USA Brand Manager

Ty comments : "I am excited to make the transition to this side of the company. I feel my athletic background, as well as my time with Orbea USA, will provide a strong foundation to build from. I have been familiar with the Orca brand since my early days as a triathlete. Orca has always maintained a high level of respect within the triathlon community, and I look forward to carrying on its great heritage"

How to measure yourself

For best results, take your measurements with no clothing on

Place the measuring tape over the widest part of your chest.

Hold one end of the measuring tape in place and circle your chest, keeping the tape straight, until the tape reaches your starting point.

Get a book, a hand mirror and a pencil.

Take off your shoes and anything you wear on your head.

Look for a level surface to stand on with a smooth wall behind you.

Stand in front of the wall with your feet together.

Balance the book on your head and press it against the wall. Use the mirror to check that it is in a horizontal position and well centered. Mark the position of the top of your head on the wall with pencil.

Once the mark is made, step away and use a measuring tape to measure the distance from the ground to the mark you just made with pencil.

Step on the scale, without clothes or accessories, and write down your weight.
