Introducing: The Swimrun Core Wetsuit

Swimrun is an exciting race format of swimming and running in pairs that is growing quickly. Following the success of our Swimrun RS1 wetsuit released last season, we now offer the perfect price-point option to round out our Swimrun range of wetsuits.

You asked us for it, now here it is! Introducing our latest addition to the Orca Swimrun range of wetsuits: the Swimrun Core Wetsuit.

Joining our super popular Swimrun RS1 wetsuit, the Swimrun Core wetsuit is the perfect entry-level price point option for those getting into this unique sport, and also offers a number of differences from our RS1 version released in 2015.

Swimrun is a unique race format in that teams of two must race across land, sea and lakes alternating swimming and running whllst carrying everything they need to complete the race with them! With no gear changes allowed, and a wetsuit often being mandatory, this race poses a unique wetsuit challenge - to provide something that is flexible, breathable and durable enough to run in, but at the same time remaining buoyant and flexible for the swim as well.

Here are the key features of the Swimrun Core wetsuit that make it perfect for this fast-growing sport:

Fully separate 2mm high vis neoprene removable arms make this suit extrememly versatile - arms can be removed to cool down in the run.

And then added back on for extra warmth and buoyancy for the swim. An extended front zip makes the suit easy to get on and off and provides for extra ventilation on the run if required. A handy whistle on the zip cord makes it easy to attract attention if you should need to during the race.

Handy outer side pockets on the upper thighs of the wetsuit provide ample storage for race accessories or your suit's arms when they are not in use.

A flexy crotch/inner thigh panel provides extra freedom of movement for the run so there is no rubbing together of bulky neoprene, without compromising on buoyancy required for the swim. While the anti-abrasion Duraskin butt panel protects the suit if you should find yourself slipping and sliding during the race.

This attractive and useful swimrun wetsuit comes all wrapped up with a very attractive price - making this suit accessible to all Swimrunners who're looking for an affordable option for their next race.

How to measure yourself

For best results, take your measurements with no clothing on

Place the measuring tape over the widest part of your chest.

Hold one end of the measuring tape in place and circle your chest, keeping the tape straight, until the tape reaches your starting point.

Get a book, a hand mirror and a pencil.

Take off your shoes and anything you wear on your head.

Look for a level surface to stand on with a smooth wall behind you.

Stand in front of the wall with your feet together.

Balance the book on your head and press it against the wall. Use the mirror to check that it is in a horizontal position and well centered. Mark the position of the top of your head on the wall with pencil.

Once the mark is made, step away and use a measuring tape to measure the distance from the ground to the mark you just made with pencil.

Step on the scale, without clothes or accessories, and write down your weight.
