Sponsorship renewed with Ironman World Champ Sebi Kienle

We are happy to announce today that we have re-signed current Ironman World Champion Sebastian Kienle for two more seasons. Sebi has won multiple Championships during his three year relationship with Orca and we are excited to see what he will do next!

We are happy to announce today that we have re-signed current Ironman World Champion Sebastian Kienle for two more seasons. During Sebi’s three year relationship with Orca so far he has won the Ironman 70.3 World Champs, been the European Champion and is now the current Ironman World Champion, and at only 31 years of age we can only imagine what the future holds for him. Orca’s General Manager Jon Coloma comments, “Orca values long-term relationships with our athletes, so we are very happy to be able to continue our sponsorship with Sebi and look forward to seeing him continue to perform on the world stage.”

Within this sponsorship agreement, Kienle will continue to wear Orca’s race apparel, wetsuits, swimskin, swim apparel and goggles. Orca prioritizes sponsorship with athletes who’re not only performing on the race course, but who also have the technical ability to test and develop products and give valuable feedback. Sebastian has notably been involved so far in the development of our new goggles range for 2016, as well as the just released RS1 Dream Kona suit, which he won Kona wearing a prototype of last year.

“We are excited to continue our relationship with Sebastian,” says Orca’s Marketing Manager Raul Casanas. “Not only because he is a high performance athlete achieving great things in the sport of triathlon, but also because of the expertise he brings to the product development side of our brand - we know his input will continue to help Orca innovate and create the most cutting edge triathlon gear.”

Sebastian will continue to be part of a varied and talented Team Orca which includes the fastest US Ironman and super-biker Andrew Starykowicz, former ITU World Champion Non Stanford, Current U23 World Champion Sophia Saller, National Italian Champion Alessandro Fabian, Xterra Champion Roger Serrano and many others across the world.

How to measure yourself

For best results, take your measurements with no clothing on

Place the measuring tape over the widest part of your chest.

Hold one end of the measuring tape in place and circle your chest, keeping the tape straight, until the tape reaches your starting point.

Get a book, a hand mirror and a pencil.

Take off your shoes and anything you wear on your head.

Look for a level surface to stand on with a smooth wall behind you.

Stand in front of the wall with your feet together.

Balance the book on your head and press it against the wall. Use the mirror to check that it is in a horizontal position and well centered. Mark the position of the top of your head on the wall with pencil.

Once the mark is made, step away and use a measuring tape to measure the distance from the ground to the mark you just made with pencil.

Step on the scale, without clothes or accessories, and write down your weight.
