The face side of AeroSkn has an incredibly low drag coefficient, meaning superior aero and hydrodynamics. The back of AeroSkn includes high stretch fabric and a water resistant treatment to ensure 100% water resistance. Approved by FINA, AeroSkn is placed strategically on garments to make significant time savings through the swim, bike and run.

AQUA GLIDE

Orca Aqua Glide has been re-engineered as a higher gauge fabric – a tighter knit, for lighter, more breathable comfort and increased durability. Water resistant qualities promote speed through the water, while minimising water absorption. Featuring Lycra inside a polyamide yarn for extra defence against chlorine and bacteria, Aqua Glide keeps athletes cool, dry and comfortable.

DRI LITE™

Orca DriLite™ is constructed of a micro-fibre polyester, making this one of the most technically advanced garment fabrics on the market. DriLite™ uses two different deniers of fi bre in its construction, which enhances directional wicking whereby finer fibres on the outer surface effectively pull moisture away from the inner surface of slightly denser fi bres, resulting in excellent moisture management and additional benefi ts of lightness and next-to-skin comfort. Breathable and fast drying, DriLite™ is a durable anti-static fabric, perfect for training and competition.

Designed to act as a close-wearing, next-to-skin fabric, Form™ stretches and contracts with the wearer’s movements. The fabric weave is tight yet breathable, providing a balance of stretch and compression to hold muscles fi rmly in place. This reduces muscle vibration, a major cause of muscle fatigue – resulting in less exertion with more energy to invest into overall output. FORM+™

Superior compression technology using Orca’s highest grade Form+™ fabric. The fabric weave is tight, yet breathable, with a higher number of contoured panels to provide an optimum balance of stretch and compression. Muscles are held firmly in place, reducing muscle vibration – a major cause of muscle fatigue. More energy is available to be invested in overall output with less exertion. Orca’s top of the range Form+™ fabric generates increased performance for discerning athletes used to training over longer distances.

KILLASKN ™

When Orca first introduced KillaSkn it created a following around the world with triathletes who recognised the benefits the unique 40 gauge fabric brings to competition. Orca has now refined KillaSkn so that the knitted fabric is more densely woven, lighter and more water repellent than other triathlon fabrics. The infused water repellent treatment creates less drag, increasing speed through the water and reducing friction on the bike and run. KillaSkn is ultra thin and highly breathable, acting as a super fast second skin for triathletes.

BONDED HYDROSEAMS

Thermo-plastic tape is applied to finished fabric edges to effectively seal the fabric join, preventing water entry, and also avoiding piercing the waterproof fabric with standard stitching methods. The result is an extremely flexible, and water-tight, non-stitched seam which sits flat against the skin promoting comfort and streamlined finish.

INFUSED WATER RESISTANT

This is the result of a process which makes fabric waterproof by applying a liquid compound directly onto the fabric surface, then applying heat pressure to infuse the coating into the fabric. This process is carried out in a series of very thin layers, which then dry to form an infused waterproof, yet flexible, lightweight and breathable barrier against water entry.

TRISKN™

A five-step manufacturing process, involving two layers of water resistant silicone coating, fused elastane and polyester yarn is used to create TriSkn™ – one of the most water-resistant performance fabrics in the world. Fabric construction allows sweat particles to be transported away from the body, providing the wearer with excellent moisture management. In TriSkn™ athletes swim faster with less drag in the water, while remaining dry and cool on the bike and run.

TRISKN ECLIPSE™

Orca’s TriSkn Eclipse utlises an innovative new “non see-through when wet fabric”, allowing it to be used in confidence in areas that will come into contact with moisture. The bi-component structure of the yarn means a full-dull polyester core is covered with a thin layer of cationic polyester, preventing the see-through nature of many light coloured fabrics, whilst retaining vivid colour. TriSkn Eclipse has 32 gauge construction with infused water repellence, is quick dry wicking, breathable and provides UV protection.

WATER RESISTANT

A chemical finish applied to fabric with the purpose of creating a resistance to water absorption or entry. This results in drops of water ‘beading up’ and effectively rolling off the fabric, rather than soaking in.
