AIR RELEASE PANEL
Successfully transferring the science of breathable, water-resistant fabric to the world’s lightest neoprene. A perforated middle layer is laminated with a micro porous barrier membrane. BIOCELL
BioCell is a high quality neoprene ideal for the dedicated competitor looking for the Orca edge. A fine balance between buoyancy and flexibility, BioCell is a durable material enhanced with SCS coating – which will stand the test of time and distance. With an overall 513% elongation rate, BioCell represents the best neoprene available in its class.
BIOLITE
Orca’s most technically advanced non-wetsuit swim legal material, this USAT-approved 0.3mm Modetec SCS material has an elongation ratio of 210-225% to provide superior stretch, whilst it has neutral
buoyancy and a gravity measurement of 1.19-1.20. The Biolite has been scientifically treated with Orca’s exclusive anti-friction coating to provide a drag coefficient of just 0.032 when wet, providing the
ultimate in speed through the water performance.
BONDED HYDROSEAMS
Thermo-plastic tape is applied to finished fabric edges to effectively seal the fabric join, preventing water entry, and also avoiding piercing the waterproof fabric with standard stitching methods. The result is an extremely flexible, and watertight, non-stitched seam which sits flat against the skin promoting comfort and streamlined finish.
CONCEALED ZIP
A 2-coil zipper which sits slightly raised on the garment and functions as a water-seal zip in the swim as well as a ventilation mechanism on the bike and run.

CONTOUR CHAMOIS
High-seat comfort with anatomical shaping, the Orca Contour chamois offers excellent moisture management. The one-piece chamois construction eliminates uncomfortable seams, providing optimum shock absorption and overall improved comfort by relieving pressure points between the wearer and the bike.
CONTROL ZIP
A 3-coil zip with a control mechanism which locks the zip at any chosen point for water-seal in the swim, or breathability on the bike and run. This mechanism also allows for a quick-release unlock function.

Equip-Tec
Light and breathable, Orca Equip-Tec is a fabric that combines everyday ease-of-care and durability, with excellent water resistant qualities and performance through the swim, bike and run. The Lycra-based yarn provides a comfortable and more forgiving form, keeping the wearer dry and cool.
FLATLOCK STITCHING
A stitching technique which joins fabrics edge to edge, resulting in a low bulk, flexible stretch seam which sits comfortably against the skin.

FORM
Orca Form is designed to act as a close-wearing, next-to-skin fabric which stretches and contracts with the wearer’s movements. The fabric weave is tight

High Tech Tri Chamois

INFUSED WR (INFUSED WATER REPELLENCE)
This is the result of a process which makes fabric waterproof by applying a liquid compound directly onto the fabric surface, then applying heat pressure to infuse the coating into the fabric. This process is carried out in a series of very thin layers, which then dry to form an infused waterproof, yet flexible, lightweight and breathable barrier against water entry.

TRISKIN
A five-step manufacturing process, involving two layers of water resistant silicone coating, and fused elastane and polyester yarn to create TriSkin – one of the most water-resistant performance fabrics in the world. Fabric construction allows sweat particles to be transported away from the body, providing the wearer with excellent moisture management. In TriSkin athletes swim faster with less drag in the water, while remaining dry and cool on the bike and run.
ULTRATHIN NECK
Orca’s Ultrathin Neck, featured in the RS1 range, is constructed from a 1mm neoprene. The Ultra-Thin Neck is designed to be comfortable and flexible, while providing an excellent water-tight seal.
VAPOUR
A materials breakthrough in moisture management, the new Orca Vapour is a light, breathable fabric used in key Moisture Transfer panels of garment construction. With a high Moisture Vapour Transmission Rate (MVTR) – the rate at which moisture passes through the fabric and away from the skin – Vapour represents a new addition to signature Orca performance materials designed to maximise output with comfort.
WATER RESISTANT
A chemical finish applied to fabric with the purpose of creating a resistance to water absorption or entry. This results in drops of water ‘beading up’ and effectively rolling off the fabric, rather than soaking in.
